10/14/18, 10:24 AM - Just tasted this. My friend was pouring for us at the distributor. Since I am not rude aIr pulled him aside and told him not showing well give it a decant. Which he did. A couple hours later the wine really opened up. If these crybaby rants are indicative of 3 days of tasting you should do yourself a favor and call it quits. What a professional
10/14/18, 12:32 PM - I love humor. Out at J. Christopher on a beautiful day as we speak. Getting to meet some winemakers I wonder if they would appreciate this guys public candor. Not all wines are my style. I appreciate the craft these artisans make. It's easy to take pot shots on the internet
10/14/18, 5:33 PM - My private reviews would make you laugh. I don't know to what degree you have been scoring wines. Never heard of you like most of the world. Do what you want. I wouldn't publicly review a wine on a spit at a tasting. I taste over a thousand wines a year just don't feel the need to share every sip with the world
10/16/18, 9:16 AM - Hey buddy posting on here a and other forums seems like a really big deal to you. I don't post much why would I join another forum? You link your business to these tasting notes. You promote drinking wine over 3 days and say people drink wine too young. Practice what you preach when giving a score that does get melded with professional scores on wine-searcher.com.
10/16/18, 9:18 AM - 3Day. I'm done. It doesn't matter at the end of the day. Let's both move on. If you want last word go ahead and post.
10/27/18, 8:55 PM - If someone scores a flawed wine I don't understand it. Call me crazy
10/27/18, 8:55 PM - That is my usual "contradiction "
10/14/18, 6:19 PM - I was fortunate enough to get a sample bottle of this. I also had the pleasure to it at a wine steward meeting. Based off my first taste and taking again a couple hours later off decant I can't agree more with your note. It is a 2017 after all. Needs time but will still be a big slutty wine which I appreciate from time to time. Better than Machete in my opinion
10/14/18, 10:18 AM - I like this wine.
8/8/18, 9:02 PM - Willamette Valley pinot noir likes to shut down and hide. Aka "dumb phase" I would wait 6 months to a year before you open another bottle. I had 3 bottles the first wasn't ready. The second was awesome. Probably going to open my third in last bottle in February next year or wait til 2020. I hope 2 out of 3 bottles make me happy!
5/13/18, 8:20 PM - Why did you score a flawed wine? Just comment that the bottle was corked. It happens. No score needed. Did you still drink it?
3/16/18, 7:15 AM - I have had this wine a handful of times in the last year. One of the times it was closed down like a turtle in its shell. All the other times it was stunning. Had same experience with Veuve Vintage rose. I guess Champagne can go to sleep similar to pinot noir experiences I've had.
2/26/18, 11:29 AM - To each their own but if I score a wine 81 points. I wouldn't want to drink it again. Curious what would make it 78 points? How low in points is a repeat drinker? 60?
2/25/18, 7:08 AM - Flaws happen. Why the need to give a score? You can comment without giving points
12/30/17, 8:22 PM - I hope your tinfoil hat isn't on too tight. If you prefer old world that is fine. Perhaps branch out into OR and WA. Not that most CA producers aren't using sound winemaking practices. Way to say an entire state's winemaking industry is poisoning consumers. Bravo!
11/12/17, 6:32 PM - I too would say you had a flawed bottle I have been fortunate enough to drink a few times over the last 6 months. Not the best bottle of bubbles I've ever had but really nice. I have a couple and will probably pop one over the holidays
7/7/17, 7:42 AM - Throwing 100 point score on first wine review. Solid!
2/16/17, 8:37 AM - The lady and I both had steak El Gaucho which is filet mignon top with Bearnaise sauce and lobster with side of gratin potatoes. Started with escargot and finished with bananas foster. Pinot and filet typically do well together I would say this combo did. I went a little too rich on choices. Lastly decanted the wine on arrival probably took 45 minutes to hit its stride
2/15/17, 12:10 PM - What you are describing is a wine fault or flaw. Sorry you had a flawed bottle but that is the breaks. Should have tried to return it instead of give it a score. You have the option to mark as flawed on CT.
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
