Has good potential. At the moment it's still disjointed. Favors are there but not well integrated. Pepper, cured meat, bacon fat - but not connected to the primary aromas and flavors of the grape. Needs 2 years.

Purple in color, legs indicating high alcohol (14.9% according to label). Yet balanced on the palate which I'll get to. Aromas of dark fruit, cedar plank, and rose petals. On the palate, the alcohol level is quite well balanced meaning that the tannins and flavors are just as strong. Yet a surprising soft element regardless of relatively high acid indicates the potential for the flavors to blend even more and age very gracefully into a phenomenal bottle several years from now.

Orange hues do not lie. This Barolo is in the process of aging and can sit for another 5-7 years easily. Nose: roses, dark fruit, forest floor, and glycerine. Palate: tannins still harsh but soften with decant. Acidity med+. Alcohol med +. Tannin: high. Roses, tar, blackberries, orange peel on the long lingering finish. Very good indeed.

Smoke, pepper, dark fruit and powe come through on the nose and so not let you down on a palate. Strong acidity and powerful tannins assure you the wine is able to hang out in your cellar for a bit, but drinking now is a great idea as well. Long finish. Great balance. I just talked myself into opening another bottle.

Disappointed indeed. Nose almost non-existent. Could taste the resemblance of dark fruit but low acidity, weak tannins, and med alcohol that had nothing to hang onto. Not age worthy... Not purchase worthy. It was better 6 months ago when I bought several bottles, but 6 months in the cellar was 6 months too long, apparently.
