While the nose was perfumed, it, and everything that followed, was monotone and too rustic (the midpalate lacked focus, coming off as murky while the tannins were unpleasantly gritty). This may have been in a off place and needs more time, as the structure is still there. There is potential for something good out of this wine, though I doubt anything great.

Pretty aromatics (roses) with ripe strawberry and mineral on the palate. This wine does disappear too quickly. Very enjoyable.

An almost fiery orange color, very faded around the rim. The nose reminded me of old, delicate port, showing lots of caramel and earth notes beneath. It was certainly past its peak, but was still alive and very interesting.

Modest but dark nose of chocolate, cassis, coffee grind and a hint of oak. Palate was incredibly silky with deep, expansive flavors. Tannins are nearly resolved. Finish is med to long. A very classy wine (relative to its region of origin).
