Nice little Chardonnay from Chile. It is a well made crisp wine with a slightly buttery taste.

Very young Cab. I decanted it for about an hour besides the glass I poured myself up front. The wine was well made but the young vines show green notes. The wine got better with time, warmth and oxygen. Ocho Tierras means 8 lands in spanish. This is a group of 8 gentlemen in the Limari valley of Chile who have young vines that will turn out better wines in the future with less vegetal notes. This wine was NOT a Reserve wine. It was mislabeled in the Tracker. I think the reserve might show a bit more structure with new oak influence. Cheers!

Very complex dessert wine but low in alcohol. If I had to guess what varietal was in the bottle it would have to be Sangiovese.

This wine is very tired. The fruit in it is starting to rot. It's OK to drink if it's ice cold so not much taste comes out . I'm not bashing the winemaker because he's actually a friend of mine. This Chardonnay just wasn't meant to age like a classic Burgundy. The new vintages are awesome. Keep a look out for ADEA Chards and Pinots, they are great wines and his Pinots age well.

Awesome Value wine. This wine is dark in color and very complex for a wine of this price. the tannis are a little rough but I think with another year the they will smooth out and become even nicer. Great food wine.

Great Buy!!! This wine has an exellent nose with hints of citrus fruits. It has great fresh fruit and acidic balance to counter it's minerality on the palate.

This Bordeaux was way to young to be opened. It would need a good 2-3 years more to smooth out the roughness. Then again it is a $12 Bordeaux. If you buy some throw it in the back of the cellar and it will be a good everyday drinker in a few years. I think this wine really needs a red meat dish to pair with it.

WOW!!! This wine is so great. To date it is the oldest wine I have been lucky enough to enjoy. This Ruffino is still hanging on. The bottle needs to warm up to room temperature and stand upright for a few hours in order to get the sediment to the bottom of the bottle. This wine should NOT be decanted because it is so fragile. This wine showed some stewed dark fruits and spices. It should be enjoyed with a light Italian dish that will not over power the wine. If you have a bottle enjoy it by the end of 2009 or keep it sealed for a great display!!!

Salud !!!

This Pinot was a great value. Lots of bright cherry and a touch of oak. For eight bucks, Chile impresses me yet again.

Very neat bottle of 5 lb. wine. What a gigantic bottle. 60% Bonarda and 40% Malbec. On the same day I had a bottle of Bonarda by itself and I found it too floral. The 60/40 blend works much better. The Malbec adds its usual cocoa, smokey, dark fruit, leather taste and really calms the fresh fruit flavor of Bonarda down. I found it to be a great wine. Try aging a couple bottles for a few years and I think that this wine will really come together well and become very complex.

This wine was great. I had the 1982 previously. The 2000 needs to decant for about 1-2 hours. Take a sip when you first open it and watch the flavors evolve after decanting. Argentina has good Malbec but the Cahors region of France still kicks ass with Malbec wines that you can lay down for some time. If you find this wine by the case BUY IT and tuck it away in the back of the cellar. Like I said earlier the 1982 Cahors was so great.

This was a great sparkling wine. it had nice bread notes and a just a small hint of residual sugar. I think I spent around $22 and I would purchase it again. 90pts
