Nose of cherries, smokey vanilla, dried herbs, tobacco. Medium to full bodied, dry mouthfeel, a hint of alcohol with savoury tones, dried fruits and concentrated cherry on the finish. Youthful and hopeful it will improve and balance out as it ages. Bought 3 more bottles for £10 each on offer at Waitrose. Will wait until 2026 - 2028 to drink the next one.

Consumed over two nights. Improved on night two and picked up more complexity and depth. A great value wine for sure and should drink well for another 10 - 15 years.

Double decanted and poured. Garnet red, yellow rim, 4,5. Open mature classic right bank bouquet, complex, sweetness. Totally harmonious on the palate, perfect balance between tannin, acid and fruit, elegant and with finesse. Long finish. Not a top St.Emilion but it is perfect right now but will hold for at least five years.
