Poured with a bit of effervescence. Luxardo cherry syrup and sage, very light bodied (skim milk texture) but not thin, lots of acid on the finish. Not complex but food friendly, would be an great pairing with salami/cured meats.

10/16/18, 10:58 PM - Re-corked and kept in the fridge for two days. Gained some fullness/structural balance with time without losing any fruit - to me an improvement.

Welp, we ripped and sipped this one. Very fragrant nose, red fruits, candied fruits, with a savory graphite underpinning. Palate is juicy, red and dark fruits, fresh acidity with tannins that just dry your toungue on the finish but aren’t unpleasant. Herbal, minty finish with fruit and acidity carrying it through. Has the fresh juiciness that I look for in wine, but the complexity that doesn’t always go with it. Ned said he wished we had bought two - we’ll definitely be looking for this retail.

double decanted in advance a couple of hours before serving. lightly cloudy purple color. Nose olive/spicy notes, grapey. Palate light, steely minerality, high acidity, some tomato flavor. Very interesting. 91 pts

5/7/18, 9:26 PM - This bottle is drinking really nicely the next night. Still lots of fruit, spicy green notes, and the acid has integrated for a lusher, rounder mouthfeel than yesterday. Thanks Fred- this was a great bottle!
