One of the best wines I've had. Vanilla/Butter/Oak/Toffee on the nose w/ complex berries in the middle ending w/ a superb, lasting finish. Needs a few more years in the cellar to even out the tannins, otherwise a great bottle of vino. Had alongside the '04 Macauley and it more than stood it's ground. I have yet to have a bad '05- this was one of the better ones I've had (along w/ Schrader CCS)

Good Brunello...dark fruits abound, smooth wine. Missing depth of flavor, but a good experience. Would probably go for the reserve next time.

Vanilla, oak, creme de casis, blackberry...a slight variation from the traditional california cab. Excellent bottle of wine- especially considering the price. Have 2 more bottles and can't wait to have another. Have yet to drink a bad 2005 cab.

Not very good. Maybe it's just my taste for Rioja's, but I thought this was very dry and lacking flavor, depth and finish.

Pleasantly surprised. I forgot when/where I purchased the bottle, but found it to be one that I would buy again. Fruit forward, fairly balanced, cab like in many ways. Nose got better w/ time, finished very well.

Way past it's prime. Was not very good. Tasted like green peppers and thinned out on the finish. Nose actually got better as time went on, but I was not impressed. Special Selection is the only way to go.

This has been a tremendous find! Great bottle from start to finish. For the price, you'll never be disappointed. It get's better and adds structure and depth over time.

Very well balanced bottle. Nose got better and better as time went on. A little more earthy than fruity, but nice structure. Blackberry, currants, minerals, even some leathery notes. The tannis softened to make this a very nice bottle. Underrated as far as the WS score, in my opinion. Not at all past it's prime!

I have NO idea why this was rated in WS only 83 points. I guess that is the one big flaw in WS- it's only 1 person's opinion. This smells and tastes like a Cab w/o the big finish. Outstanding. My neighbor, who knows his vino's, thought it was a Hillside Select. Incredibly underrated. Not saying it's as good as the 04, but to give it only 83 pts is a travesty. Joke!Had

What can you say? Another great offering from Caymus. I will buy/drink Caymus SS all day long! Always delivers- not matter what the vintage. Had at Ocean Club in Scottsdale w/ BP

Good, not great bottle of wine. Didn't wow me like other Cabs. Nose was best part of it. Good mix of flavors. Finish trailed off a little. Had at Ocean Club in Scottsdale. They really jack up the price of wine- much more than most restaurants I've been to.

Wow! Had this at a restaurant in Denver. Fantastic!! Great nose. Flavors burst in your mouth- wild berries, currants, hint of vanilla. Great finish. I'd have to try it one more time to see if it was truly the real deal, but so far, so great!

Had at Wildflower in Vail...not bad. Nose was very nice. Good mix of fruit w/ some earth. Didn't burst in my mouth with flavor, but was solid enough. Finish was average.

Was a solid bottle...great value. Nose was nice, not overly fruity, but enough to give it a nice taste. A nice balance of tannins w/ an okay finish.

Outstanding Wine w/ notes of currants and berries. Smooth, even flow of tannis. Excellent nose on the wine. Enjoyed from start to finish- long finish! Had at Spago in Beaver Creek and put it in my top 5 of all time.

Had at Restaurant and thought it was excellent. Even balance of tannins w/ some fruity notes, but not too fruity. Had a nice blend of fruit/dryness to it. Very smooth, nice finish. A great Super Tuscan.

Typical Caymus SS...always one of the best bottles you can consume. Great nose, complex, great finish. Can sit for a few years to smooth out the tannins. However, given that it was an 05, the tannins were very balanced. Outstanding vino!
