Wow ...... Better after sitting in the refrigerator for the last few days. I let this acclimate to about 65 degrees (2 hours) and hoped that I did not sense that "Day old" wine sourness.
Conclusion is that it lost nothing and on top of my previously posted notes, it gained tremendous smoothness for a Zinfandel. Today it gained a velvety mouth-feel. I up'd my score.

Spicy on the palate, smooth, blackberry, I think. A nice wine that could better with age.

    5/27/16, 12:32 PM - Hi, Vintage 1949. I've had good experiences with Turley wines, both Zins and Petite Sirahs, in letting them age a few years longer than normal for Zins. They are quite structured and tannic, so they hold up well. My problem is that I like'em too much to hold'em too long. 😊
