12/20/15, 8:48 AM - RJ, I don't know how yours was, but ours was initially rough, and we were thinking it was past drinking. We left it on the counter, with a glass poured, and came back to it an hour later, and the glass was starting to drink really well. We decanted the rest, and it was great.

Did not decant, probably should have. Mellow tannins, ready to drink. However flavors were muted, with leather and tobacco dominating. A little dark berry and cassis. Good long finish, with balanced tannins across the tongue. The next day, a little left in the bottle was still good, with cherry notes.

7/24/13, 8:50 PM - I don't think its asleep - just needed to breath some. 2003 is drinking nicely as well.
