Nose is light with citrus and white flowers. Body is medium, heavy for a gruner but in a good way. Taste is full, starts with citrus and grapefruit. Opens into a creamy, lemon cud sweetness into a medium finish with lingering fruit notes. A lovely wine.

Nose of Meyer lemon and wet granite. Mouth is medium full, bright, clean, and citrusy. Fairly rich with hints of mango and a light peppery finish. I love Austrian wines but this gives them a run for their money.

Lovely wine. Nose is black cherry, leather, and spice box Mouth is medium full, a bit tight and acidic up front and a little astringent on the close. Just a bit too much for the level of fruity sweeetness. Will recheck as it open up more. Finish is a bit quick for the weight of the wine but the dry fruit lingers with a touch of heat.

GVFP. Nose of blackberry, sour cherry, and a bit of leather and spice. Mouth is light initially then blooms into a medium bodied mouth of pastisse and jammy rhubarb. Builds to a very satisfying finish and pleasant lingering aftertaste. Definitely a go to wine for a spur of the moment drink.

Lightish nose of honeysuckle and frisky sliced peaches. Mouth is surprisingly full, lots of nectarine, pretty complex and pleasantly heavy for a rose. Lingering finish of a just underripe strawberry tops off this delightful wine.

Great dark deep color. Nose of dried cherry and cedar wood with some spice box. Mouth is medium weight with tart black cherry that blooms into a slight dusty and raisinous middle with a quick, lightly tannin finish. Delicious on its own or with a lighter meal.

Had this in Belgium. Lovely little white. Bright, floral nose of white flowers and stone fruit. Mouth is clean, nice balance of citrus with touch of honey. Moderate finish.

Nose of black currant and violets with a little black olive tapenade. Mouth is a touch dry up front but blooms into blackberries and mulling spices. Finishes a bit hot with lingering white pepper and a lovely barbecue-y smoke.

Lovely Albariño. Nose of honeysuckle, nectarine, and the ocean. Mouth is surprisingly full bodied but not syrupy. Great pear and nectarine with nicely balanced citrus and a little grassy towards the end. Settles into a nice, long finish.

Distinct and tasty wine for the price. Great one to start off an evening. Nose is light and floral with a touch of vanilla. Mouth is medium heavy for a chenin blanc but not cloying. Taste is a lovely mix of white peach, apple pie spices, and a finish into key lime custard.

Nose of plum and brambles with nice vanilla notes. Mouth is medium-light, especially for a Zin. Taste is a slightly underripe plum and pastisse. Slips away quick in the finish which transition with solid black pepper heat.

Amazing color of golden straw. Nose of white flowers, Meyer lemon, and underripe pears. Mouth is lush, slightly syrupy (in a good way), rolling into honey and orange evolving into a finish of honeydew melon with the crispness of a Sauvignon blanc. Yummy.

Sure the rating is based in part of the price, but the bottom line is this is an eminantly drinkable wine. Nose of stewed blueberries and violets. Mouth is surprisingly full, starts thin with predominantly blueberry flavors but blooms into an expansive balance of fruit, soft tannins, and some heat. The growth continues into an incredible finish that is long lasting with oddly enough a butteriness (brown butteriness if that is a thing) and lingering spice and heat.

Very well balanced wine. Light nose of white flowers and strawberry plants. But heavier than most Pinot Gris with a touch of sweetness to match. Big taste that transitions to a very pleasing and long finish. But pretty midline I terms of flavor, nice but not particularly striking.

I've always loved this wine, but 2011 seems lighter and quicker than earlier years. This one lacks the rustiness and bold depth of earlier vintages. It's really good but seems to be a slight step back. But still yummy.

What a great wine. Decanted about 40 minutes. Complex nose, well balanced with red currant and strawberry, spice box, cedar, and a general savory/earthiness. Mouth it also well formed and complex. A moderate entry of fruit, more into blueberry, that blossoms into heat and spice and a long lingering glow. Yummy.
