After 10hr slow ox, intoxicating nose of florals, sour dark cherry, black fruits, prune, mocha, tree bark, Chinese herbal medicine tea with hawthorn, dry leaves, smooth elegant & silky on the palate. This is just a baby, packed with tremendous depth & promises, patience will be well rewarded.

Day 2 (with total 22hr of air): RSV is finally singing with sweeter red berries, sweeter black fruits, sweeter hawthorn, prune, and perfume of roses, peonies, vosne spices, earth, wood with dry leaves.

On the nose, RC is one notch higher & more layered than DRC RSV 2009. Kaleidoscopic layers of potpourri, fresh & dry flowers, red berries, raspberries, rose petals, sweet cranberry, PERFUME with sweet soy sauce, sweet preserved sugar plum, sweet dried cranberries. On the palate the wine is extremely reserved. Recorked. Revisited on second day (with over 24 hr of air), the wine opens up gorgeously to even riper fruits, sweeter spices, sweeter prune with earth, flowers, rose petals, and a lingering floral, savory, earthy finish. 2009 RC has so much structure, will needs at least a decade to unravel its true potential & class.

Slow ox 4 hours (cork, fill level in pristine condition)
Color : bright ruby garnet.
Nose : Potpourri of florals, rose petal, peony, red berries, darker fruits, amazingly lifted & complex.
On the palate: elegant, velvety texture with purity. Forest, earth, red fruits, abundant rose petals, violet, with touch of vanilla pods & lots of sweet spices. Very classy. In drinking window but still life ahead.

Needs patience to journey through this wine. Once popped, nose is floral, beautiful, but palate is a 180degree different with high acidity & tightness. Poured 1/3 bottle into decanter while drinking the other portion in large Grand Cru burg glasses. After 3 hr aeration in glasses, body grows bigger, with darker cherries, sweet berries, ripe raspberries, hints of liquorice, sweet spices and Visible OAKS, so much fruits, oak, ripeness, I guessed it was a 2009, i also find it new world in style at this stage too. The decanted portion (5hr in decanter) put you in a different planet - where Grip has turned velvety, all harshness, astringency disappear…as if inside a peaceful botanical garden, surrounded by intoxicating bouquets of roses, violets, flowers, also with Redder cherries, raspberries, berries fruits, earth & Vosne spices…where all the elements come together so harmoniously & well balanced. A beautiful journey.

Pop & Pour. This is like holding a bottle of perfume - Explosive bouquet of roses, violets super floral with FRESH red fruits - cherries, dark berries with hint of earth. On the palate - extremely approachable with fresh cherries juice, little surprised at the heat from the alc, skillfully masking the tart acidity! Velvety texture, fine tannins, such great pleasure to drink - a flamboyant Beaujolais , beautifully made !

Once pop, charming bouquet of mixed berries with spices. Similar sweet berries, earth, white pepper spices on palate, lighter bodied than NSG Boudots 2002 but super elegant, smooth and beautifully made for a 2000 vintage.

Seductive aroma of cherry, earth, plum, violet flowers with forest floor. Wonderfully balanced with strength, concentration, offering more depth on all aroma, palate & length than Chaumes 2000. Absolutely singing tonight, but no rush to drink up.

Tasted Blind. Med ruby in color. After 4hr of slow ox, red cherries fruits with xmas brown spices, sweet caramel, cinnamon, underlying forest floor earthiness , stemmy on the nose yet pack with elegance, structure and soft tannins. Still a baby, give this at least 6-10 yr to fully shine.

Upon pulling the cork, the room was filled with floral. However palate remains very closed despite 6 hr of air. Extremely burgundian in style, but with warm cherry, tea spices, sweet red prune & earth. Elegant, classy but way too young, give this beauty another 5-10 yr.

Ripe dark berries, good spices with some forest floor, after 3 + hr in glasses, richer, sweeter, darker berries, layered with oak fully integrated, velvety, perfect to drink now though still have at least 5-10yr life left. ( Tasting blind: guessed good vintage, not too hot/ not high in alcohol, but tasted incredibly youthful for a 1990, also given its weight, complexity, would not have guessed it was a Volnay)

[Domaine release in pristine condition] Color seems younger than it is.
Beautiful bouqets of sweet red fruits, sweet candies, floral with earth.
Excellent balance of fruits and acidity, with good depth. Nose turns more intoxicating with 1.5 hr of air, sweeter on the palate. Remoissenet did a superb job given 1979 is a rather cold vintage!

Dressed in a very light, see thru crimson-color "Burgundian" robe, smells gorgeously floral with abundant of ripe berries, raspberries, red cherries, cinnamon and lots of sweet spices. Sexy, with layers of structure, generous fruits. Soft and velvety on the palate , harmoniously balanced. Classy, Graceful, Absolutely mesmerizing !
