Loved the age on this wine and could drink every night.

Like most KBs and depending on your style, you should give them some time in the bottle but don’t hesitate to try as they mature. I appreciate the golden color and the nose of hazelnut with some spiced pineapple. They got the balance right with a long finish.

Drank after a brief decant. Dark, lush and full of spice. Just started to hit the drinking window with plenty of shelf life. Paired well with miso cod and wagyu filets at local restaurant.

A nice feminine pinot with similar characteristics of a SLH pinot with the orange rind and dried cherry. The finish was light but an overall lovely wine. The age is starting to show and may be starting the transition to the next phase of the pinot experience. Cheers

Decanted approximately 4+ hours before consuming. With decant, it may be starting to hit its drinking window but no hurry. Quality bottle of Cab with all the characteristics present.
White
Drinking well and nicely balanced. More Burgundian than traditional CA style and much more preferred by the drinkers.

Lovely bottle for my lovely wife’s birthday. Better than the day we tasted/purchased in 2005. Served chilled and drank over an hours time. Just grab a bottle and try for yourself to understand the complexities and nuances this bottle has to offer.

This bottle was bad as with a few recent garagiste purchases. Bad Brett that clings to the glass like smelly a$$ ladled in a candied bandaid rimmed Dixie cup. Gave it two days to blow off but just picked up more raw sewage.

Fabulous bottle of wine. Still early in the drinking window but don’t wait too long.

Foul with bad Brett. Opened for a couple days hoping it would dissipate...ugh. Hope this was not the reason for the price discount.

A nice solid Pinot. It was a gift so not sure how much the mental game played on the enjoyment.

Drinking nicely with spice and everything nice.

From the reviews it looks like there are two camps. I liked this bottle and so did the couple we consumed it with over dinner. Drank more like a Bordeaux blend.

I wish I had bought a couple cases of this wine. Just a fun wine to open up and enjoy with friends who like age on their wines or with someone who has not yet discovered what an old world wine drinks like.

Drank over three nights: First night Brett City. Second night Brett still front and center with some leather and possible a tad cedar. Finish on both nights tarnished by the Brett. Third night Brett still in the room but more medicinal notes but nothing indicative of a decent Bordeaux. QPR is low on the totem pole. Wait a few more years or decant and drink the next day or so.

Unfortunately, I could not wait to drink my last bottle. This is still on the young side with bright fruit and baking spice taking the lead. Balance is superb. Definitely take this bottle to dinner and sip with your meal. A feminine wine and I wish I had another bottle to try in about 5+ years to see if it transitions into a mature adult. IMO the best stage of a quality bottle of wine.

Definitely a heavy weight by the bottle. First day impression was Gabriel Iglesias; big, bold and fluffy. Second day was still on the big and bold side, but more like Dave Chappelle after a little break.
The medicinal qualities, cedar and dark fruit shine on say two. However, still too viscous to drink now and would recommend holding for 3-5 years before revisiting.

Not bad, not bad at all. On the not bad scale, this was pretty high.

Pleasantly surprised by this bottle of wine. Great QPR and drinks better than some more expensive bottles of Napa wines.

A holiday wine gift. Nothing special and the 2016 Cinnabar Alexander Cab given to us far exceeded the quality of this bottle.

A little disappointed in this bottle. Pulled from cellar but did warm up to room temperature as we drank the bottle. The heat really came through as the bottle warmed masking most of the enjoyable elements of the wine. There was some cedar box/spice but the 14% alcohol ran the show.

Bottle firing on all cylinders with plenty of shelf life. The WM George T makes some quality wines flying below the radar and worth a sniff!

I’ve had a few of these and nothing special. However, this bottle seemed to open up after a couple hours for decanting. Normally, I would not drink a decent Napa Cab under 5years. So, my bad and just give these, as Jim Croce sang, ...time in a bottle.

Drank my last bottle and similar to my 2015 bottle. Cracked pepper, blood soaked satchel of roasted venison draped in bacon, a dash of dried herbs, soy, olive and a sprinkle of sea salt. This bottle is why I buy good quality Sarahs. If you fruit mongers don’t appreciate an aged Syrah, I’ll buy your Pax Richards!

This was my last bottle and it did not disappoint. Amazingly fresh for its age. Dark Fruit (blueberry compote?), Roasted meat, spice with a nice round finish. I wish I had more to try in a few years. Me sad...

Nice bottle of wine showing its age. Brownish Yellow in color with spice, slightly roasted almonds with a balanced finish.

Drank this too early but just had to try. Lovely bottle of wine and true compatriot. Plum, cherry, dried herbs/tobacco with a little tar for a touch of smoke. A nice finish to accompany any hearty fare. Very approachable now but age worthy.
