PnP. Really enjoyable, though a bit atypical, CdP. More fruit than I expected -- berries, cherry, and soft, well-integrated tannins, less earth and herbs than typical CdP. Well balanced, long finish. Drinking well right now, no weird/metallic tastes as other notes have observed.

Searing acidity, almost like unsweetened cranberry and/or pomegranate juice at first taste. Mellowed out with some air and showed a bit more complexity, but still felt unbalanced. Not undrinkable by any means, but not something I wanted a second glass of. Perhaps needs the right food - something richer than the eggplant parm I had it with.

Delicious, easy drinking, bright red fruits and nice balance.

Very good - lighter in body than the typical Seghesio zin. Black currant, blackberries, and earth on the nose. Like a slice of blackberry pie on the palate - intense blackberry fruit and pie crust. Noticeable acid and a hint of earth/tannin balance the fruit and keep it overall light and drinkable.

Big and aromatic, with flavors and aromas reminiscent of juicy fruit gum, caramel, honey, stonefruit; good acidity and body.

Beautiful Barbera! Cherry pie on the nose, sour cherry and red fruits with a hint of pepper and spice on the palate. Extremely polished, elegant and well balanced, long finish, and the right amount of bright acid to work well with food. Delicious.

Bright red fruit, no discernable oak, good finish with high acidity. Great food wine (acid cuts right through even tomato based dishes) but I was looking for more weight in the mid-palate.

An incredibly vibrant, fresh explosion of bright fruit interwoven with spice, with just the right spine of acidity and a supple, refined, but present and supportive mid-palate. Somehow both delicately balanced and immensely expressive of the fruit. Just lovely.

Gorgeous supple aged Bordeaux at or near its peak. Initially, cured meat on the nose, which quickly blew off to expose red fruits and cherry cordial. Red fruits (cherries, plums, raspberry) lead the palate with underlying earth and tobacco notes. Well balanced acidity and smooth tannins create suppleness with a moderately long finish. Apparently no oak is used here, and I love the resulting clarity and complexity of fruit that results. Delicious.

Intensely fruit-forward with an explosion of cherries on the palate and cherries and strawberries on the nose. Round and smooth. Very nice.

A different perspective on Vermentino. Citrus (lemon, grapefruit), banana, and a hint of honeysuckle with pronounced acidity and saline finish. Not as balanced as I'd like to drink standalone, but the acidity works well with food.

Gorgeous wine. Intensely rendered red fruit while beautifully balanced against leather, tobacco, and spice back notes. Delicious!

Light garnet in color. Cherries, plums, bright acidity and prominent minerality on the palate. Very fruit-forward, on the front of the palate. Good pairing with tomato/basil-based Italian food.

Very nice wine. Nose of juicy fruit, pear, maybe a hint of pineapple and rose. Balanced and supple with mineral brightness.

Tropical fruit (guava and mango?) on the nose. Medium bodied and bright on the palate, more tropical fruit with a streak of acid and pronounced saline mineralogy, almost like eating oysters with mango salsa. Quite unusual, unlike anything I've had before, but works.

Gorgeous, supple fruit with garrigue undertones after ~2 hours decant (not very approachable right after opening). Needs a couple more years for tannins to resolve.

The wine is obviously well-made, but I'm not a fan of the style. Reminiscent of a Sancerre, with noticeable (though not overpowering) oak and muted fruit -- not at all typical stylistically of NZ sauv blanc, if that's what you're looking for (as I was).

Nose bursts with red fruit, especially sour cherry; carries through on the palate. Very smooth with well-defined and balanced structure, though perhaps a tad thin in body. Easy drinking and utterly delicious, especially after about an hour of opening up.

White flowers, citrus on the nose. White peach, lemon (preserved lemon?) and saline on the palate. Lots of fruit, almost like juicy fruit, offset with acid and saline minerality... evocative of sun drenched island seashores. Very good.

Flowers, ripe/bruised apple, wax and honey. Very round on the palate, lower acid. Great as aperitif.

Burnt spices, overly sweet and oaky...not my style of Zin. There are far better options at this price point.

Still showing strongly 25 years in (at least, this well-stored bottle). Deep purple color, intoxicating nose. Beautifully integrated, dark fruit across the palate, and enough tannins left to support the fruit. Very classic Napa cab not far from its peak.

Lots of white flowers on the nose with some citrus (meyer lemon?) and tropical notes. Beautifully balanced with a core of acidity that will stand up to substantial food yet rounded and smooth with a long and intriguing almost-stone-inflected finish.

Lush, rich and round black raspberry and dark fruits underpinned with peppery spice and an endless finish. Full but light on the palate, beautifully balanced. One of my favorites among the Seghesio lineup.

Apple, citrus, honey, crisp acidity, long mineraly finish. Nicely balanced. I'm not usually a fan of Riesling but liked this one.

Asian pear, floral-honey, wet stone minerality on the nose. Rich and unctuous on the palate, just a hint of sweetness, but nicely balanced with crisp acidity and a smooth, long finish. Notes of maybe cooked apricot, pears, honey on the palate? Very nice wine.

Very good. Powerful ripe, juicy fruit -- blackberry and cherry?, a backdrop of dust/earth and mineral tannins, and a bright, long finish with hints of black pepper, olive and chocolate. Well balanced despite bright acidity.

Still young and initially quite tight, but opened up nicely after an hour or so. Dried strawberries, violets, and thyme on the nose. Layered flavors and a round smoothness once it opened up.

Bright raspberry, blackberry notes with a hint of baking spices and a back note of more cooked fruits. Assertive but balanced acidity, with reasonably balanced tannin structure despite it clearly young at this time.

Nose and palate dominated by sharp grapefruit flavor. Tart and relatively thin, lacking the complexity and any mid-palate richness to balance out the acidity. Not great.

Smoky, black fruit, tobacco, dust. A bit rough and unrefined, though paired well with hearty chipotle-based chili.
