Fantastic old vine (120+ yr) zin with a little red and white field blend. Drinking beautifully right now.

Not sure how Sauv Blanc gets better. This is a shining example of a small production, high quality, biodynamic juice from Sonoma Valley. I believe this one is mostly steel tank, finished with some old oak. The nose is electric with pineapple, pear, grapefruit, and stones, and the palate is similar but with a bit more tart apple and some slight herbiness going on. Long finish, great acidity, amazing on a hot summer day (first time I tasted) or while cooped up in NYC winter with Mexican food (just did). Highly recommended.

Had NYE and it’s drinking beautifully, buttery caramel plums, maybe raspberries, cinnamon spice, nice finish. Seems to have matured into a beautiful port.

Possibly past it’s prime, but the cork may have been compromised. The bones seem good, though

Nice dark fruits, smooth drinking with an interesting oaky quality for a Zin. Very good at this age but may still improve.
