Such a wonderful Pinot as always. Fruit forward and full bodied but yet wonderfully light as a Pinot should be!

After nearly 20 years in the bottle this Rhône blend did not disappoint!!! Aged to perfection in a good friends cellar it was ready to drink with rounded flavors of fruit without the edges a lessor bottle or younger French wine might present! Wonderful!!

This wine is full bodied and, I am guessing, could still age 3-5 years more in the bottle before peaking. Buttery in texture and fruit forward for a Pinot with hints of big grape and floral notes. Lovely!

Surprising color and texture for a wine from this region which is not known for its cabs! Dark and dense color with a good but mellow/soft edges flavor for a Cabernet. Not a powerful fruit forward Cabernet but something beteeen a good merlot and robust California Cabernet.

Enjoyed it.

For a blend it’s a scrumptious fruit forward delight. At 15 years of age it has left behind many of its rough edges and would be even smoother and near perfect with a few more years in the bottle.
