Right out of the bottle, a bit intense and very concentrated; deep, dark and delicious.

An hour in the decanter and it really opened up, showing a much lighter side and brighter fruits.

Two hours in the decanter and beyond, and it was a bit too light. Still good, but past it's prime.

Next time, I wouldn't decant for more than an hour. Could probably leave it in an open bottle for 2-3 hours.

    12/6/13, 4:45 PM - Sorry to be clear: past it's prime decanting window via decanting in a wide container for that long. Decant for less. This has years left, but after 2-3 hours in a wide decanter, a lot of the magic disappeared.
