Picked this up locally at a TW for $80. A fair price locally. Decanted 3 hours per the DQ's reco.....Pretty in the beginning. I, and one other, found it quite soft and feminine and balanced at that point in time. A 93-94. Amazing how so many of the Bdx from this vintage are drinking so well right now. Went back to it after a few other wines tonight and the perfectly balanced nose took on a strong smoke/barrel char component. Swirl the glass in your hand and it turns to rose petals on the nose. Bizarre! I liked this wine by itself. I'm not sure when compared against others. 94 early on, 92 at the end, so averaging it out to a 93.

3/23/23, 2:18 AM - I had exactly the same experience with this wine a while ago: gorgeous perfume in the beginning and then getting thinner, oakier, less integrated with time. Wondering why that could be and if waiting some years will help or make it worse
