nice bottle, needed some time to open up. decanted for 2 hours. strong forest floor and mushroom aromas. Definitely has potential to age - still a little young.

This wine was very solid. After being open for about 45 minutes, the fruit appeared. I was a little surprised at how much was there still. Raspberries and strawberries mainly. Low acidity and alcohol made this a very pleasing wine. Not overpowering and went very well with our meal. Unfortunately I wasn't able to pull out more of it's nuances because we were also drinking some dense syrahs and they overpowered my senses.

A little anise and some cherry. A decent wine that got a little better after a few hours.

This bottle was much much better than the first bottle I drank about a year ago. The first bottle must have been asleep since this one still had some fruit and an actual finish! Not an overpowering wine (yes!) and built in an Old World style. Not stellar and not worth what I paid for it when it came out, but certainly a fine bottle of wine with the lamb we had along with it.

This was terrible. We were very much looking forward to this wine, but it drank like it was a asleep - no fruit, no oak, no body, no anything. However reading the other notes makes me think I just got a bad bottle since it had been cellared since it was released. I have one other bottle that I will drink soon. Anxious to see how it compares.

Along with A. Rafanelli, Frog's Leap consistently makes a quality Zinfandel. I have never been disappointed with them, and this year is no exception. On the palate, there is pepper, tobacco, and raisin. Black Pepper and a little cherry on the nose. Can drink now, but could stand to age a year or two.

I love Zinfandels because of the range of possibilities these wines have. This is speaks right to the point - a fruity wine that has a nice clean finish without being overpowered alcohol, which is common in Zins. Not of the spicy, big, and bold variety, but this wine will fill your mouth with flavor.

Man, this is how I like my Zins. Pepper and cherry. Balanced and not overwhelming. Another solid Zin from Seghesio.

Nice, full-bodied zin with definite pepper and spices on the nose and tongue. needed about 30 minutes to open up. by the time the bottle was finished I was hoping there was another backing it up...there wasn't.
