Good body for a white, juicy sweetness that is not cloying. Reminds me of a Virginia Viogner

Overall this is a solid 2-year-old cab sav. Definitely a little young and acidic, but not cloyingly so. Good bright fruit notes.

Wanted more from this one. A little two edgy and tannin forward for my taste

More full bodied and bold than many viogners I’ve had; lovely golden color.

Very full bodied and tastes older and more complex than I expected. Berries, caramel, and balanced tannins. Still a big jagged around the edges, so benefits from opening up a bit and would likely benefit from 2-3 + years in the cellar.

Juicy and light with a strong backbone. Flirts on the edge of too much tannin for this type of wine, but always stays on the side of pleasant. A really good choice.

Crisp, dry, and pleasant Virginia Viognier. Lots of pear/apple notes. Doesn't quite have the tropical fruit notes and body that I associate with my favorite wines in this style.

Refreshing red with notes of berries. Some vanilla and round notes, with mild-moderate tannins that are very pleasant. Would have been a 90+ wine with a bit more structure.

Some decent notes of white fruits, definitely not overly sweet. Weird, unpleasant aftertaste and smell, though. Would not choose again.

Juicy; tropical fruit and citrus notes. Amazingly drinkable, great for a spring/summer day. Has the bubbles and creaminess that are expected in great pet nats.

My first lambrusco, and I think there was a lot to like -- light, dry, good with food. The flavor was slightly reminiscent of overcooked red fruits as the backbone, but the bubbles helped make that less unpleasant. Also had some smoky/cigar notes that I enjoyed. Improved as it opened up a bit.

Raspberry and strawberry on palate, with a pleasant acidity (and sometimes funkiness) initially. Dry, but with a hint of refreshing sweetness.

First note is peach, but not overpowering. Finishes dry with hints of strawberries and raspberries. A hugely refreshing and satisfying wine.

Decanted for 15-30 minutes, then more as night went on. At 15 years old, this wine has beautiful balance of tannins and fruit. Restrained, but still present, tannins make for a deliciously rich and smooth mouthfeel. Notes of raspberry and other red fruits evolve, especially as wine opens up in glass a bit. A bit of milk chocolate/vanilla at finish, but nothing overwhelming. Overall a complex wine that was a great introduction to long-aged napa cab savs.

pleasantly fruity; somewhat thin and young tasting up front, but with a hint of rich chocolate and smoky notes on the finish (typical of other VA meritages I've had)

Raspberry, with some notes of darker fruits. Full tasting and smooth, with only mild tannins. This is what merlot wishes it was. Definitely benefits from sitting in glass for 5-10 minutes (or decanting).

Classic Virginia Viognier taste (crisp, green apple with good acidity). However, none of the tropical fruit notes that some Viogniers can have. Finishes dry, with a pleasant yeasty taste. Definitely one I will try to have on hand frequently.

Slightly smoky from petit verdot, with enough roundedness to make it enjoyable. Not a lot of brightness, but lots of dark fruits.
