Are you certain that a vast majority of active CellarTracker users also are aware of and make use of that specific scale? I always felt such a scale was quite unfortunate and limiting, due to its range compression. Since CellarTracker specifically provides clear distinct valence options, I felt I could use more of the scale, more similarly to most normative assessments in other areas.Regardless, this is good to know, and I'll have to consider it for my ratings. It does introduce issues, however, as I find there's too little room otherwise, especially in trying to maintain relative linear consistency with Vivino and also relative to my own actual relative views. Would be interested in any other thoughts you or others might have on this!P.S. I somehow didn't get any notification until I manually checked my Inbox on the Desktop web client and can't seem to find any way to properly thread a reply to you (or notify you). Hope this works.

6/22/23, 4:56 PM - A very interesting and detailed counter-point to my review, as you duly noted. Perhaps I judged this too quickly or just needed to aerate it much more. Looking at some critic reviews now, it seems most think these are only optimal up to one year after vilification—it seems quite possible that your bottle (and perhaps others') was much better stored than the one I had (out-of-town, in another person's home, without proper cellaring in a seasonal climate).Hope to try it (or perhaps a more recent vintage of it) again sometime! (Just replied to your comment on my post, in case you have no other way of being notified of that.)
