Randomly bought this yesterday at the recommendation of a local wine director. It was 20 years old and I have owned it for 1 day. I assumed it would be way way over the hill by now but it turned out to be something truly special. For a zin it was still very structured and still had fairly gripping tannins. It continued to develop over 3 hours and honestly drank more like a properly aged Cab than a Zin. Very little sediment. One of the best bottles I’ve had in a while. Maybe others just didnt hold it long enuf.
