Large surface area decent for four hours and tasted throughout—really alcohol forward in the first hour but mellowed out beautifully by hour four. Not a lot of complexity (probably just past its peak), but just a juicy, lovely tasting bottle. Would suggest drinking now purely for enjoyment, not to impress your wine snob friends.

Bold and young, I think I should have waited on this one because it has a lot of time left. Aerated and decanted for about 40 minutes and then we drank it over the course of three hours; it stayed pretty consistent and didn't change over course of the night. Very compact, lots of darker berries, chocolate and possibly some tea notes. All in all, a really delicious bottle--going to buy a couple more.

When I get a California Pinot, I want there to be a little bit of power behind it, and this bottle gives me just that. Decanted and enjoyed over an evening, slightly fruit forward, but beautifully balanced. Garnet with earthy undertones, tart with cherry at the end, clean throughout. Plenty of red fruits, but then some oak and cola notes to set it off.
