After quite a battle with the cork, which was glued to the bottle stem, I was able to sit down and enjoy this very nice port. From a fantastic vintage I was optimistic about trying it finally after having it sit in my cellar for the last 20 years. The aromas were very nice with some spice and pleasant fruit coming through, my daughter thought strawberries, I was thinking more plum, but it was good and that was all that matter. The tannins were very good, smooth and nicely balanced. As the wine sat it my glass for awhile I felt like it took on some of the nice characters of very good aged tawny, with some caramel notes getting stronger. My only disappointment in this bottle was that it was my last of the 94.
