Perfect food Pinot. After an hour in the glass just perfect with Santa Maria tri tip and potatoes. Fruity but balanced and a long finish.

Maybe a badly stored bottle but seemed past peak—weak aroma and somewhat acidic. But hints of. Beautiful flavor.

By the glass at Milo’s in Midtown NYC. Light straw color, with fruit aromas. Haven’t tasted much of this variety but we enjoyed it with grilled fish.

Great nose on opening but became slightly too acidic—perhaps I opened too young.

Second time enjoying this vintage. Heavy aromas of rose and berries. Very light body. Balanced with some fruit and acidity. A perfect pairing for salmon or lighter fare.

Wine of the night after several other great tastes. Floral and balanced like the Domaine De La Cote Bloom’s field that we enjoyed before but darker and thicker mouth feel with almost a hint of mushroom like quality on the finish. Just lovely.

Very complex and interesting Chardonnay. Quite distinctive but I lack th vocabulary to give a good note other than to say we loved sipping it over several hours with seafood.

Lacked the same floral/rose petal nose of other Sandhi Pinot Noirs that we tried. Well structured but nothing special for the high price.

Had after their Sta. Rita Hills AVA-level wine. This was earthier somehow and stinger but just as refined and with a lovely aroma.

Very light but with a wonderful floral and fruit aroma. Some of us that tried it noted a bit of pepper but we all found it balanced and good with a variety of foods including lamb bolognese, especially after being open an hour.

Not for me. Too bitter for a gamay, too unfocused and weird for a pinot. I was intrigued by the idea of the blend but regret the purchase.

Had with Santa Maria filet. From sniffing the bottle immediately after pulling the cork I could tell this would be good and it did not disappoint. Pop and pour, with a beautiful, vivid Sta. Rita Hills fresh and rose petal notes (large % whole cluster?) but still very light and balanced.

Great value pinot in a restrained style. After about 1 hour this started to really shine with vivid and fresh floral notes very similar to other nice Sta. Rita Hills Pinots from ‘21.

Best rioja that I’ve tasted. Strong notes of oak and vanilla on the nose with a tobacco finished but nicely balanced this will be amazing in a few more years.
