Surprisingly drinkable at this stage. Would make a reasonable table wine.

Was recommended by the sommelier to pair with a grilled wild boar steak, and that was a good suggestion. Was 5 years old when I had it, and could be aged even longer.

Drinking way to young. , but still spicy and earthy with some tannic structure. Please don't commit infanticide like me! Should improve with some years.

Vanilla notes, and nice mouth feel. Floral nose. Not too hot, for a zin that is.

Great secondary and tertiary notes. Nothing like other cabs. Barnyard, floral, prune, cassis, cinnamoncinnamon, anise.

Made gnocchi with morel mushrooms sautéed in garlic and olive oil, and quickly steamed broccoli with parmagiano cheese. Opened this bottled only 20 minutes beforehand. Started spicy but with a good finish. Has that typical leather and structure one expects with barolo, but a little more fruit. Well integrated and drinking well now. Great play off of the earthiness of the mushrooms.

Bought at cheese shop with delicious pyrenees sheep cheese and something soft and stinky. Balanced and structured.

Opened and tried immediately. It was pleasant if simple. Then drank with veggie chili, eggplant tapanade and cheese. Held up really well with the spiciness.

Had with grilled meat following a zin. Too tight at first, but opened after an hour to go well with the steak.
