Decanted for an hour. Subtle hints of dark sweet fruit on the nose. At first the tannins were present but not too grippy, some dark fruit and pepper. After two to three hours the wine opened up. Baked blueberry and plum with a hint of vanilla some leather, the tannins soft and mellow. I am sorry I did not buy more.

Spoiled. May have been cooked during shipping, but a shell of the wine it is usually.

3/20/24, 2:44 PM - I agree with you, but I seem to recall the program would not let me out unless entered a number in the score box. I would happily follow your suggestions if you know how to leave the review and remove the score. I completely agree with your logic, and I did not like entering a score.

Nice bottle of CA PN. Medium body, but perhaps felt mike Med+ due to the 15+% ABV. Despite its apparent DRC genetics, definitely did not remind me of a top Burgundy; in fact tasted like a top CdP such as the Cuvee Reserve from Dom Clos de Pegau. Score was based on impressions as a generic red wine, if you expected or were hoping for a PN, i would take off another 5 or 6 points. I am pretty sure this is first time I have scored a wine nearly 10 points different than RP, but just can't see it ever being a perfect score.

Nothing to add to the 5 triple digit scores from professionals. Almost Napa-like full throttle fruit, but with much more complexity. An exquisite expression of grape juice

    8/31/23, 7:52 AM - Good morning,

I would say it hit the peak about 45 minutes after decanting, and remained there for another 90 minutes (then it was gone). However, when you are near the plateau portion of the top of the curve it's hard to tell! right? You are very lucky to have some. I only have one bottle left.

It is pretty incredible! I prefer it to the 2016 Haut Brion and i think that wine received an unprecedented FIVE perfect scores! I have never seen five critics agree on the color of a wine, much less its score.

    I hoe you enjoy it.
    Chers,
