On opening the bottle the aroma of strawberries was evident from some distance. Sniffing in the glass, the aroma had a certain headiness and very fresh for a 6 year old Passetoutgrains. On tasting - again the overwhelming theme was fresh strawberry, continuing through to a very long finish. In addition to the strawberry freshness, there was a too-strong acidity which gave a tanginess, a bit like sucking a lemon. This was a pity as otherwise I really enjoyed the wine. Although no real complexity, this was overall a fresh, fruity wine for a hot summer evening.
