About Me

Beyond my family and former Miss Illinois wife, I have three passions in life in no particular order: baseball, music and wine. It was a 1978 Duckhorn Merlot I had in 1987 that lit the fiire. I had never had good wine before and decided to try to drink exclusively good wine from that day forward. It has certainly made my career in broadcasting a whole lot more fun. I have three kids from 12 to 25, F, M, F, own and host my own syndicated radio show and have a 1,000 bottle cellar. I collect three ways. I find inexpensive, everyday wines that taste much better than their price, select mid-range wines which I cellar and allow to mature into something of far greater value than their original worth and also save some room for the world's greatest vintners and varietals regardless of price. That's the smallest part of the cellar, lol. I realize my good fortune (every single day) and try to share my vinophile leanings and learnings with as many friends and associates as possible. C'mon over, we'll raid the cellar together!
