  May 17, 2013 - The first night this wine had a great aroma and a nice taste of black berry, but the finish was almost pure alcohol. The second night this bottle finished nice and smooth. I'd decant for an hour before drinking.

  December 31, 2011 - Pnp. This bottle had the misfortune of following a 2008 Carlisle Sonoma County Zin and was just not in the same ballpark -- tasted amateurish in comparison. Lots of candied brambly fruit, quite flavorful, but lacking the brooding flavors and spice of the Carlisle. Nice enough Zin but nothing to get excited about, even at the sub $20 price point.

  July 10, 2011 - Decent Zinfandel, but nothing special. Lots of fruit on the nose. Fruit and baking spice on the palate, very hot finish. Perhaps this will be better tomorrow.
