  December 23, 2014 - Fine balance between the shiraz and the Grenache. Acid level and tannic finish are well done and the wine has plenty of good fruit. Why not a bigger score, then? Well, something was missing that I am having a hard time putting a finger on. I think it was missing that fun and interesting change of the nose as it sits in the glass. There was just not the excitement of a different note from one nose hit to the next. I wasn't drawn in by the wine.

  April 5, 2012 - Ratomg a bit higher for this bottle. Maybe it was the extra time or maybe the food matched better. Nevertheless, the Rhone styling is much to my liking and the balance of the wine was excellent.

  September 9, 2011 - tasted 1/2 glass non-blind at vino volo in Dulles Airport. This has a rich nose, deep complex flavors, and a long peppery finish. Throughout I got a comforting/pleasing feel of fresh baked blueberry muffins or maybe king cake from McKenzies in New Orleans. This was a huge surprise and a major winner!
