Community Tasting Notes 4

June 10, 2018 - Better than expected in my experience with most Australian wines!
On nose: pipe tobacco , pomegranate, coffee, and bramble berries.
On palate: all of the above plus ripe plums, mocha and damp earth with a citrus element almost reminiscent of Amarone, minus the high acidity.
This wine is now 11 years old and fully mature.
Great wine with BBQ......full bodied but not overbearing.

September 6, 2015 - Originally bought several bottles of the 2007 after tasting some earlier vintages. Found my last 2007 while clearing out the cellar of older bottles last night.

Was surprised to find that a wine that we'd drank without any particular note, had become something quite good as the tannins had mellowed. retained bold fruit and spice.

March 2, 2014 - Fruits rouge, epices. En bouche on retrouve le côté velouté très agréable apporté par le grenache.
A boire dès maintenant mais peut tenir encore 2-3 ans je pense

January 12, 2014 - Very enjoyable. Strong, but not overpowering dark fruit and some spice. Medium to full body.
