June 13, 2023 - Beautifully mature and great value. Complexity in line with price point, earthy with full fruit and integrated oak.

June 1, 2019 - I followed my own advice in a previous TN and had this with Lamb shoulder and it performed to expectation. Based on the wonderful integration and quality this is a huge over achieving bottle and now I wish i had purchased more of this crazy value.

December 21, 2018 - A lot of wine for the modest cost to procure. American oak and noticeable alcohol will be a turnoff for some. But it’s a tasty wine with rounded red fruits that goes well with burgers.

  • Tony Molester Does not like this wine:

December 18, 2016 - Finally got around to opening this. Modern style rioja. The wine has some drying bitterness imparted by significant oak. Fruit was still there, but the oak was obtrusive. Rather meh for my tastes.

January 9, 2016 - Last bottle of this, and a nice finish to the run. A bit of sulfur on the nose, but good jammy fruit too, with forest floor and wet earth. Very concentrated, with hints of tar and anise, as well as dark cherry and cassis. Long finish. Strong and fully ripened, this is showing better than my last note would predict.
