Community Tasting Notes 4

August 25, 2022 - Tasted double blind from small capped bottle: funky, some age. A bit of meaty and florals. gentle and resolved. A little soft on the palate - some nice background notes - mushrooms, fading fruit, leather. Finish is a bit bony with dirt and mushrooms and fading fruit. Nose - 4.5/6, Palate - 4.5/6, Finish - 4.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 14.5/20.

October 18, 2020 - Bright purple fruit but lacking structure and a little diluted on the palate. Time to drink up.

Returning to it after a couple of days, a beautiful black pepper element comes out along with some slightly gritty tannin that brings much better definition to the wine.

September 1, 2014 - Chalky, fresh, graphite notes, lots of tannin, no sign of age, silky and multilayered, this is sensational

September 19, 2008 - Intense game and cassis nose, fragrant, charcoal and chalk on the mid-palate, and reminiscent of a very high class claret, but it finishes dry and short
