December 18, 2015 - Beat your 2015 WOTY Dinner: Ginger, spice, caramel, smoke and ground coffee. Has great power on the palate, there is sweetness there but the VA controls it and the wine has really good focus. An excellent way to finish an evening.

April 27, 2013 - Base wine for this Rare Tokay is an average age of approx 60 years. Very dark amber/brown in colour. Deep and complex aromas of stewed fig, christmas cake, dates, raisins, prune and a hint of black tea. These flavours are reasserted on the palate, which is rich, syrupy, viscous and incredibly luxurious. Although not usually my thing, this forified is unique and terribly delicious. This is not a dessert wine... it IS dessert!
