  January 10, 2014 - This wine has matured nicely. Similar flavors, with a noticable increase in the strength of the fruit flavors. Also, the heat on the back end has largely dissipated.

  April 8, 2012 - Easter Dinner of braised and baked lamb (w. garlic & rosemary), along with other food accompaniments such pan seared potatoes & salade...The wine was excellent...While the colour was beginning to change, the aromas were subtle (clove, caramel & roses) brought on a smooth mouthfeel and again subtle flavours of chocolate, braised figs, hints of brown sugar...The mouthfeel and balance and finish was beautiful after decanting...note: I did not overly aerate (no Vinturi) as I suspected the tannins were ready...good choice. DRINK NOW.

  June 9, 2011 - I have to respectfully disagree with Blabbot. I was not disappointed--this is a good wine. The nose is leather, spice, tobacco, and fruit. Good structure, not too fruit forward, and a nice balance of the flavors coming out of the nose. The downside is the heat from the alcohol on the back end. It dominates as the taste lingers, but all that does is encourage you to take another drink!
