March 5, 2023 - 10% whole bunch. fermented with indigenous yeasts to 14.5% alc. then aged 10 months in 35% new French oak barriques.

colour ruby translucent bricking on the rim 14/15
Nose med intensity little bit of funk which slowly blew off, fading red fruits except for dark cherry , plenty of secondaries mushroom olive dried herbs lavender spice , clean ,layered 28/30
Palate med bodied silky mouthfeel , grippy tannins / acidity throughout the palate long finish plenty of aged elements mushroom earthy gamey 40/44
overall 14yo probably at its peak but will hold for a while longer 9/11

January 6, 2020 - Fresh fruit even after 10 years. Well balanced and fills out the palate without flabbiness.

November 10, 2017 - Deep ruby color, medium legs, and a nose of dark cherry, ripe strawberry, and some earthy notes. Beautifully rich on the palate with still some velvety/violety Central character. Loved this. Wish I had more!

February 12, 2017 - Felt a little more in balance than my last bottle and while still a very new world and plush Pinot, a bit of extra age has mellowed it somewhat. Still lacks some finesse and complexity for me but I still enjoyed it for what it is.

January 7, 2017 - Dark ribena colour with hints of ruby. A lot of ripe berries on the nose. Palate, more fruit than tannin with good acid levels. Be interesting to see how this ages.
Tastes more like a warm climate Pinot even though it's from Otago ... but it's a north facing slope.
