October 2, 2013 - Ruby red color with flavors of licorice and dark cherry. The body is heavy, the acidity is good. It has a rustic finish and is not multi-layered, but with good flavor and balance.

December 26, 2011 - Served this over the holidays to a large group, who seemed a bit put off by the barnyard scent that was present immediately upon opning. Seemed to subside with air, but the nose didn't seem to stop them from drinking it. Perhaps a little young to drink now and requring patience upon opening

December 23, 2011 - Quite a remarkable wine at this low price point. Cherry color and scent, mild barnyard scent and slightly tannic on opening but scent disappears and balance appears with an hour of air.
