  December 12, 2012 - very nice nose, bit of anise - developed more with time - hint of anise and graphite - juicy, fruit-forward but still a bit tannic - deep, dark ruby red, just beautiful - would like to see how this develops over time, think it has higher point potential. Wait a year before trying the next one.

  December 18, 2011 - Still very tannic upon opening as well as the entire first night. Would have benefitted from a few hour decant but alas, at the in-laws. Has great dark fruit behind this wall of tannins. The second day the tannins mellowed and the fruit exploded through. Needs either a long decant or at least 3-4 years in cellar.
