October 27, 2016 - Good wine for the vintage. Tannins a bit rustic, but I don't know it can improve. A good choice with food.

October 6, 2015 - Tim's Birthday 2015 Burgundy Night (Extra Space): Tasted blind. Aired in decanter and drank over 2 hours.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of spice, mocha, dark red cherries, and slight earth with air. Developing.
On the palate. dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of spice, mocha, ripe dark red cherries, slight earth, minerality, and some mild stemminess. Long finish.
I was guessing a Gevrey-Chambertin or a Vosne-Romanee, and all of us were guessing <10 years' old. What a shocker when this was revealed to be 1997!
Very good quality considering that 1997 is supposed to be an early drinking vintage. This is still so backward and could go another 5 years, but may not improve much in terms of development.
60% from Beaumonts Bas and 40% from Beaumonts Hauts.
November 25, 2011 - Powerful, long finish, great mid-palate feel, lots of depth. More chocolate than you would expect from a Burg. Great Thanksgiving wine. Should go for awhile.

Very cool notes that display mint, mineral with blackberry, cherry with peppery spices and earth. Great balance and freshness, delicate and friendly palate profile with dried tea leave bitterness that leads to silky, fine medium length finish, not bad but nothing special. Buy - No.
