  May 20, 2012 - Fairly typical Finger Lakes Cab Franc. Drank over 2 days. Day 1, poured thru aerator, could have used a decant. Nose of dark fruit, bramble and spice. A bit closed up and hot on the entry with dark fruits, herbs and a touch of cedar on the mid-palate. Somewhat bitter, medium finish with good acidity and returning hotness. Vacu-vin'd overnight. Day 2, P&P. More fruit on the nose, predominantly black cherry. Lots more fruit on the palate than day 1, black cherry, currant, plum. Also a more lush mouthfeel than day 1 where it seemed a little thin. Bitterness on the finish still there but now barely noticeable. The acidity is really appreciated now that it has more fruit to work with, which it cuts nicely. Overall a very enjoyable and smooth Cab Franc with a good QPR. EDIT: No sediment.

  January 21, 2012 - The second and third bottles I opened had no sediment and tasted better than the first bottle I opened for guests. A mild red with not a lot of character. A much different taste from what I remember at the winery.

  January 1, 2012 - Very disappointing. Four out of four friends did not like. Lots of sediment. Not sure what I will do with the other three bottles.
