February 3, 2018 - From 75cl, good cork, opened 1 hour in advance. Incense, apricot fruit, low-acid, thickly-full-bodied Pfalz essence. Sweeter and flabbier than one might wish; more than a hint of Aldi's Multivitaminsaft. Muted, low-octane fine-wine given the asking price of 35 EUR at cellar door. Better quality at this level readily available elsewhere. 88P(?)

April 18, 2016 - Full bodied and with emphasis on fruit, this is completely different Riesling than most new world which have an overt petrol, burnt rubber character. This wine is very clean on the nose with some mineral elements on the background but what is prominent is the fruit: peach, mango. Very good depth of flavor on the palate. Acidity is not felt as being very high.
The wine seems to be mature but could last easily for another 4 or five years. -

February 23, 2016 - From 75cl, perfect cork. My previous bottle must have suffered from its defective cork. This one is fantastic. Fierce scent of iron filings, perhaps even rust, some gunpowder and mango; smooth, big-bodied entry with slightly less acidity than expected (duh: 2009) but lovely soft, melting balance; good sweetness (without being "sweet") and mineral/acid structure on the mid-palate. Shortish, clean finish. Perfect drinking for my taste now: Not sure that this is a long-term keeper, but no mid-term worries until at least 2020. 92

February 20, 2015 - From 75cl, dried-out cork broke off during extraction, after failure with my ah-so I finally broke the neck of the bottle off with Port tongs. Honeyed, mineral scent; thick entry with impenetrable muscular/massive mid-palate; dense, creamy, sweet inexpressive finish. OK now, if a bit fat, boring and not a lot of fun; may have a noble future(?) Distinctly overpriced at 35€ retail. 89P(?)

December 2, 2011 - German Riesling blind tasting (at Martin's): Flaxen colour. Complex nose. Mould, mapzipan, ripe apples, good minerality. Medium body, complex, very good acidity, some bitterness. Very balanced wine!
