January 21, 2012 - Crazy high wire balance. Perfect flash of sweet. Just enough to light up the lemongrass, coconut husk, oyster shell. Detailed focused taut

December 19, 2011 - as before, simply awesome. really started singing around 4hrs after opening. beautiful slate & pastry dough nose i've come to associate with Lauer. crisp, pure & balanced blood orange fruit on the palate. slightly lighter in body than some of the other Lauer's from '09.

April 17, 2011 - One of the better German rieslings we've had recently. Dry, just a touch of sweetness keeps this from being overly austere. Well balanced, this has an effervescent-like quality that helps the zingy minerality touch every taste bug. Terrific with spicy Asian meal tonight. Wow.

December 31, 2010 - Light golden color, with a shy nose at first that soon opened up to reveal ripe orchard fruit, pineapple, a tiny bit of sea air. The palate however is not shy at all showing boatloads of concentrated fruit up front with waves of juicy fruit and though the midpalate with moderate acidity leading to a lengthy mineral laden finish that is completely dry. This is a best in class type of wine given its station.
