April 1, 2017 - Ruby red with slight garnet edges. Quite a bit of sediment. Immediately good, but better 24 hours later. Medium acidity and tannins are not as stringent as I thought they'd be. On the nose, it's ripe cherry, roasted meats, herbs, licorice, mint. It's a good wine, but it's lacking a backbone and is pretty light.
