June 8, 2012 - Nice wine, fresh, frank, and fruity. Red fruit, wild berry, and lavender on the nose. Started off pretty tight, with a pastis-like anise and herbal streak dominating the red fruit flavors. Broadened out with air, settling after about an hour into a medium-full bodied, fairly broad shouldered, sappy wine with rustic charm. Tart cherry, red licorice, and a hint of menthol and garrigue on the palate. Decent acidity and a hint of dusty tannins on the finish. While tasting plenty good on its own, I think this wine would work with a wide variety of cuisine, anything from simple roast chicken with herbs to more robust fare, game or lamb. Tasty, with good regional character, and I'm a buyer at ~ $15. I would drink this over the next 3-5 years.

March 15, 2012 - Sweet berry fruit, vibrant acidity, a bit of black pepper and garrigue on finish, and very fine tannins. Nothing objectionable but nothing special. Drink soon.

February 29, 2012 - The last of our four bottles proved to be quite different from the first three; either that or I am deluding myself. Despite the wine offering up a distinctive corky aroma initially, it offered a very bright, youthful red fruit ensemble of cherries and raspberries that was absent from the others. This face of the wine I could see attracting drinkers. One wonders as to the differences we observed.
