    January 4, 2007 - Great wine. Very light for a Chateauneuf-du-Pape.

November 12, 2006 - A very nice wine. Chocolate, leather, coffee - and even some fruit! (cherry.) We were told that the 1996 was an OK vintage and not to hold it much longer, but the tannins, while softened, could certainly hold up for a few more years - and there was no obvious loss in color.
