Community Tasting Notes 5

July 27, 2022 - Fruit is fading. Earthy and savoury palate. The GC of 93 MM are a lot more youthful and exciting.

June 29, 2019 - Musique & Vin Festival BYO Dinner with Musicians (1243 Bourgogne Society - Beaune): Small glass, brief note. Red fruit maturing gracefully with some firm tannins. This might have easily seemed imperfectly ripe when younger, but I expect cellar time has been kind to this wine, letting it soften with time.

March 27, 2012 - this was an ok bottle to open solo on a weeknight, nose was tight / stingy, color was dark and not as 'old' as i would have expected, palate was fine with med body and a touch of fruit... nothing special but decent drink

June 12, 2007 - The nose was muted at first but opened up nicely after an hour; fine red berry flavors with bracing acidity initially but this too seemed to soften with a little time. There's really nice body and some fat, round elements of earth in the background that seem slightly closed now; this will improve with a few more years of age, at minimum.
