October 30, 2020 - Nothing left but acid and a chemical note. Great provenance on this bottle, but it was not meant to be.

December 4, 2019 - Gaja White Truffle Dinner (Osteria Langhe - Chicago IL): Big, dense and powerful with more black cherry than red cherry, all still amazingly fresh and bright for its age. Palate shows more modern-esque touches, making this less classically Piedmont than I'd prefer, but a very powerful, tasty wine with good enough spice and complexity

December 4, 2019 - Dark roasted dense black fruit aromas with anise note. Big broad & ripe flavors with good concentration. Nothing shy here, but all in balance with plenty of structure. Just missing a bit of complexity, but a strong showing.

July 27, 2016 - Great bottle. Wine of the night against 1978 Costa Russi, 1978 Cicala, 1978 Colonello and 1961 Monfortino. Very young and primary, shockingly so. Acetone and pencil lead.
