January 23, 2012 - Dried cherry and a little wet earth. Fruit starts to brighten on the finish. Very good acidity and will go well with a variety of food.

November 22, 2011 - 1976 - 1996 Pinot Noir (Tom's House, Palo Alto, CA): Crimson with light bricking. Baking spice and a touch of brett on the nose. Light to medium body with low to med acidity. Slightly sweet black cherry and baking spice with a bit of tannic structure left. Nice depth and balance. (my 2nd, group's 2nd)

May 3, 2011 - Medium-dark red with some transparency. Aromas of red berries, leaves, sous bois, and rhubarb. Palate shows a plummy core with some strawberry and sous bois on the medium finish. Drink.

December 18, 2010 - Dark garnet color. Aromas of smoke, beef broth, cherries, and mushrooms. Porcini and smoky cherry palate with some smoky bitter chocolate elements emerging on a medium finish. Some sous bois also present. Better showing than a previous bottle a few months ago, but still this one is in a "time to drink" phase. Drink.
