August 16, 2015 - Multiple tastings with somewhat inconsistent notes. First tasting in about 18 months. Decanted about 4 hours, drank over the next 36. Definite flavor of Mondavi Cab of that era, smoky, burnt embers. Still plenty of fruit, perhaps just starting to decline. Enjoyable. I've tasted a lot of this over the years and cannot seem to zero in on it, sometimes I like it, sometimes not.

September 15, 2014 - Incredible wine great vintage at or near its peak. Surprisingly complex with dark fruits, old leather and earth. Paired perfectly with grilled steak and roasted potatoes.

February 26, 2014 - Seems to be at its peak--nicely integrated, no rough edges, good though subdued fruit. I had hoped for something more from a Vine Hill of this vintage.

November 4, 2013 - Consumed over a 48 hour period. Light, a bit phenolic. Touches of old leather and smoked meat. Not very much fruit depth or intensity, ultimately, a bit disappointing for a great vintage.
