  December 25, 2020 - Served after a 2005 Bounty Hunter Blind Justice, and that was a mistake. Ellie’s was good, but a big step down by all measures from the first wine of Christmas dinner

  May 13, 2018 - Classic, well-aged Napa Cab that paired great with grilled NY strips. Big bold dark fruit & smooth tannins.

  June 29, 2016 - My lone bottle received from wine club years ago. Brought to a small get together for people who have just a tiny bit of appreciation of wine. IAMANDYC nailed the rating and the notes. Great bottle and wish I had more. Typically one of my least favorite Hall wines because it has a nice soft side to it but this was fabulous. Glad I still have a running vertical of every year since. Looking forward to the 09 (there was no 08 from my memory I think due to the fires). Highly recommended.

  May 28, 2016 - Excellent presentation of a Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark fruits, coffee, oak. Still not at full potential.
